Alex Hagermoser is a Development Director, Democracy & Media Moonshots at Equis. Prior to joining Equis, he was the Partner Services Associate at the Democracy Alliance, where Alex assisted with all partner recruitment and fundraising. Before the Democracy Alliance, he worked as a fundraiser on multiple U.S. Senate and gubernatorial races.

Alex has a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University and currently resides in Boston.

Alexis Acevedo is the Director of Partnerships and Program Implementation at Equis, supporting partners with the programmatic application of research findings through deepened capacity building and strategy development–from planning to program debrief. Prior to joining Equis, he worked as the Political and Field Director for America Votes in Nevada and Pennsylvania, supporting progressive organizations with strategic planning, coalition coordination and capacity-building opportunities and, before his departure, became one of the key organizers and founders of the America Votes Workers Union. Alexis is also an alumni of For Our Future, and has experience working in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Virginia before transitioning to his national role.

Alexis is an Afro-latino immigrant from the Dominican Republic who loves travel, music, astronomy and the outdoors. He is as passionate about life as he is about solving social justice issues and treasures every cross-cultural experience that confirms the common fabric of the human race.

Beto Flores is a Partnerships Coordinator for the Partnerships and Communications Department. Beto has worked within various local government and political advocacy roles as well as a researcher for the University of Illinois at Springfield Survey Research Office and was most recently an associate at NEWCO Strategies, serving as a project manager in campaigns, events, and movements for organizations in the progressive ecosystem. Beto was born and raised in Waukegan, Illinois where he developed a passion for advocacy and advancement of issues that affect immigrant and marginalized communities alike.

Beto has a B.A. in Global Studies and an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Springfield.

Bianca is a skilled professional in communications, strategy, and public policy, currently serving as Senior Advisor at Equis Research, Inc., where she is dedicated to advancing Latino talent. With decades of expertise in public policy and management, Bianca has held significant roles, including NM Cabinet Secretary, US Senate Chief of Staff, and Governor’s Cabinet Director. She has experience in government relations, budget management, and the senate confirmation process. Notably, Bianca was one of the first Latinas to serve as a US Senate Chief of Staff, where she led a diverse team and mentored many Latinos on Capitol Hill. Originally from Nambé, New Mexico, Bianca comes from a multigenerational, bilingual household.

Bobby has spent over a decade working in political campaigns and civic engagement programs. He has experience on national, state, and local electoral and advocacy campaigns, and has built an experienced career as a field operative, learning and development professional, and  program director and organizational strategist. Before coming to Equis, Bobby served as Managing Director for Program and Strategy at Civic Nation, where he co-created initiatives like the Change Collective and ran organizational strategic planning and impact evaluation processes. Growing up in Colorado and Texas, Bobby has a deep love for the outdoors, and is currently located on the East Coast with his husband, David, and his Siberian Husky.

Caitlin is a leader in the progressive digital space, specializing in creative testing, messaging strategy, and digital advertising.

Before joining the Equis team, she served as a digital media planner at Break Something and Priorities USA. She has experience developing digital strategies for Latinx audiences and is especially committed to finding innovative ways to engage her community nationwide. Caitlin graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and minors in sociology and women’s and gender studies. Though originally from Miami, FL, she currently lives in Los Angeles.

Clara García serves as Deputy Director of Research at Equis Research, where she supports the day-to-day operations of the Research Team.

Before joining Equis, she worked as a digital journalist & producer for the Telemundo and NBC stations in Washington, D.C., where she covered a variety of topics related to the Latino community.

Clara graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Telecommunications and a specialization in Latin American Studies. She was born and raised in Maracaibo, Venezuela and is currently based in Washington, D.C.

Diana, originally from Mexico City, brings over a decade of dedicated experience in the US-Mexico bilateral relationship to her work. With a Master's in Comparative Politics from NYU and a distinguished Fulbright scholarship under her belt, her expertise is underscored by a profound passion for using diplomacy as a vehicle for progress and social justice. Diana's commitment to enhancing dialogue and cooperation between the United States and Mexico showcases her unwavering dedication to building bridges and addressing shared challenges head-on.

Drew is a political and organizing strategist with expertise gained over ten years leading data & analytics efforts at progressive organizations. Prior to joining Equis, he was Political Data Director at SEIU and the DCCC, and helped progressives win through his work at NGP VAN and a variety of candidate and issue campaigns.

Elis has over ten years of experience working in Democratic politics. Prior to joining Equis, she served as Chief of Staff and Chief Operating Officer at House Majority PAC. Elis served as the Operations Director of the DCCC’s Independent Expenditure. In the 2012 cycle, she served as a Regional Operations Director at Obama for America, President Obama’s national re-election campaign. She has worked on US Senate and gubernatorial campaigns in Ohio. She received a B.A. with honors in Political Science and History from Case Western Reserve University.

With a knack for merging technology and social impact, Eric Enrique Borja has spent over a decade spearheading digital strategies in the advocacy and electoral sectors. From mobilizing diverse voter bases to coaching the next generation of digital leaders, he brings a special blend of innovation and community focus to his work. Equipped with an academic background in Sociology, Eric keeps his roots in mind while building bridges to a more inclusive future. His career is proof that you can blend cutting-edge tech skills with a heart for social justice.

Estefania oversees the day-to-day administrative and cultural functions of Equis' Research and Data team. Previously, she was a communications specialist with RALLY- an advocacy firm- where she worked with nonprofits and social movement clients like Black Lives Matter, the California Department of Public Health, and NRDC. At the University of Southern California, she received her Bachelors in Nonprofits and Social Change and her Masters in Public Administration. Estefania spends her time off the clock trying different ice creams, visiting bookstores, and hanging with her corgi and partner.
