Equis is working to: create a better understanding of Latino communities, invest in innovative approaches to reach and engage them, and uplift the Latinx leaders of tomorrow who will implement and carry forward this important work. Since 2019, we have served as a hub of Latino polling, qualitative insights, and data, with analysis based on over 40,000 interviews, focus groups, online journals, ethnographies, and vote simulations.  Equis is a leader in digital innovation, focused on message testing and experiments, anti-disinformation tracking, and digital capacity-building for grassroots groups. Equis is also committed to developing Latino leaders across the progressive space, serving as a convener of organizations and individuals leading Latinx-focused programs.

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Program Implementation, Equis is seeking a motivated and collaborative Partnerships Manager to support and enhance the life cycle of partnership engagement of the Partnerships team. The Equis Partnerships team seeks to strengthen and expand long-term partnerships with stakeholders across Equis priority states. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of in-state progressive and political strategy development, experience leading partner communications, developing partner materials, and providing strategic support for labor, c3, and c4 groups. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, and will be as detail oriented as they are passionate about the issues affecting Hispanic and Latino communities. This position is permanent and full-time.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner Communication

  • Serving as the primary point of contact, incumbent will receive all incoming partner requests reviewing and determining initial responses and or routing to the Director of Program Implementation and/or other department leads.
  • Oversee the development of regular partner communication materials, working closely with the Partnerships Associate to ensure that Equis partners and allies are receiving latest news and information about program offerings. 
  • Working closely with the Director of Program Implementation, produces high quality, digestible reports, briefings, and trainings for partners that highlight key takeaways from research findings and recommendations. 

In-State Partnership Liaison 

  • In collaboration with the Director of Program Implementation and Equis leadership team, develops in-state Equis research and program strategies.
  • Serve as lead Equis staff in briefing in-state partners/tables as needed/requested, including leading and executing external communication, logistics and project management.
  • Lead partner 1:1's, work groups and events with Equis’ state-based partners. 
  • Where appropriate based on partner projects, lead in-state partner accountability to ensure timely progress on goal progression and proactively communicate status/milestones, including addressing roadblocks, with in-state partners.
  • Work closely with internal Equis Research, Digital Innovation, Media Monitoring, and Data / Targeting teams to build a strong feedback loop between in-state stakeholder  needs and Equis. 
  • Strengthen and expand long-term partnerships with stakeholders across Equis priority states.

Logistics Coordination & Support

  • Serve as lead coordinator on executing in person and virtual logistics, briefings, and trainings including communications, agendas, catering, travel, tech support, lodging, transportation, etc.
  • Serve as a reference in coordinating activities related to Disinformation sessions, and/or Latinati, and/or upcoming conferences.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-6 years of professional experience within political advocacy, or campaign related work
  • Experience in a mission-driven organization, with proven ability to develop and implement plans and track, prioritize, and balance an assortment of ongoing responsibilities and competing deadlines
  • Facility and skill with CRM management systems, particularly project management integration, with a track record of stewarding sensitive and confidential information 
  • Rigorous attention to detail coupled with superb organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience exemplifying Equis’ mission, values and principles with clear experience in utilizing sound judgment and  tactfully taking initiative
  • Comfort with a fast moving, transparent, and feedback driven culture 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS  

  • 5+ years of experience within a mission-driven organization focused on government, politics, research, public policy, and or a closely aligned field 
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
  • 1-2+ years of experience with ClickUp and MailChimp (If no experience with these platforms, Equis will train)
  • Experience leading organizing teams, and/or developing state-based digital programs
  • Experience working with Latino communities in the South, and/or Mid-Atlantic
  • Spanish language fluency (reading, writing, speaking) 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This is a fully remote (USA only), full-time position with occasional domestic travel and a competitive salary range of $80-$95k/year. This salary range represents a good faith estimate of what Equis may pay for this position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as budget availability and commensurate with the selected candidates’ experience. Equis offers medical, dental, vision coverage at no premium, 4% employer match 401K, and excellent vacation, sick and personal leave.
